Girls Education and Access to Sports
“If one man can destroy everything, why can’t one woman change it?”
~ Malala Yousafzai, Activist
This project was made to bring awareness to the fact that not all young girls are able to go to school and participate in sports, which socially isolates them.
How it Works
We are concerned about girls education and access to sports and how this socially isolates girls. Our solution to fix these problems is to spread awareness at a bake sale, by doing announcements, and talking with the classes at our school. All proceeds from the bake sale will go to Malala’s Fund, which will give girls and women an opportunity to go to school, and to the Jumpstart program, for families that can’t afford to pay for sports. Another idea we had for creating awareness about this problem is to host a school screening of the movie “I am Malala” for students in Grades 4 and up.
